This beautiful farm-building conversion is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Nestled among lush hills and valleys, the property is one of four terraced cottages found down a quiet single-track lane. It is a wonderful choice for couples looking to reconnect in the countryside. After enjoying a wealth of walking trails from the doorstep, you can sink into relaxation in the shared Jacuzzi spa pool and soak up the far-reaching views together as the sun sets.

The open-plan living space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio door, allowing plenty of natural light to flood in. Make yourselves comfortable on the sofa and watch a film on the TV or cook a romantic meal for two in the kitchen area which you can serve up at the dining table. Upstairs, a mezzanine double bedroom with wooden beamed ceilings and a gleaming en-suite shower room offers a tranquil space to relax in. Outside, you'll have your own allocated area of open garden with a table, chairs, and a parasol, and access to a lawn, utility room and a shared Hot tub set within a tranquil setting with views of the hills. Enjoy a relaxing day out exploring the local area, before returning to the cottage to soak away the day’s adventures in the warm, bubbling waters.

Our stay was too short! Beautiful surroundings, so peaceful. The Gearing was just a nice size, lovely and clean with everything we would need for our stay. Being able to bring the dog was a plus! Unfortunately the original booking was cancelled due to the owners Ill health, I was called by a lovely lady who explained and apologised and mentioned that some others were available and a link sent or we could choose our own ( the link was pretty useless as most of the properties were for the week before our holiday was booked, this was a waste oRead moref time and no help at all). I luckily found The Gearing, this was fabulous, the setting beautiful, the property built to a really high standard,. The owners are the loveliest people, always smiling, about if needed but not intrusive in the slightest. Gilbert was always close by and was never too busy for a chat This is a working farm too so was fabulous seeing the sheep being herded up to be sheared, lovely walks in the area and really peaceful. We will hopefully return again soon. Hide

The only downside is that Wi-Fi was very unstable and seems to always slow down during the night having problems streaming as internet speed was too slow and unreliable.

A great location, if a little bit remote on the farm, so be prepared to drive out to the local villages for food and drink. the hosts - Gilbert & Carol are wonderful. The view from the hot-tub is superb on an evening as the sun sets over the hills to the west.
