Description

Summerville is a tastefully modernised 19th century cottage in a superb location beside the cascading East Lyn River in a beautiful area surrounded by dramatic scenery both inland and along the coast.  Approached across a pretty front garden with driftwood path, the spacious entrance hall leads into a stylish, well proportioned, dual aspect living room with large bay window and wood burning stove, ideal for those cosy cooler evenings. Across the hall to the left is a spacious dual aspect dining kitchen with rustic style oak units, complemented by a limestone tiled floor. A rear door  leads out onto the small private courtyard. Upstairs are three attractive bedrooms all served by a family bathroom and separate cloakroom.  The master double and a twin room enjoy views across the river and the second twin room is at the rear.  Many examples of the beauty of Exmoor National Park are nearby including the Doone Valley, Valley of the Rocks, Woody Bay and the Brendon Hills. Relax in the sunny front  paved garden with the sound of the river as it winds its way down to the sea or stroll down to the harbour and jump aboard the cliff railway to Lynton. It was a lovely holiday. The area is amazing and the cottage was gorgeous. Very impressed with local pubs/eateries.

Mrs Kay T,

A beautiful, well kept cottage. First impression was confirmed throughout our stay.

Mr David H,

Lovely position and a cosy home from home.

Mrs Janice F,

Lovely haven for the two of us, never spent so much time in a holiday property before, the garden a delight without feeling like a fish bowl so close to a busy footpath.

Mr David P,

Excellent all round!

Ms Karen C,
