Description

Nestled in amongst a row of 19th century cottages this property sits high above the pretty village of Lynton on the Exmoor coast. Guests here will feel as if they are on top of the world as they look over the rooftops to the sea with rocky headlands melting away into the distance. On a clear day one can even see the faraway shores of Wales across the water. Lynton's shops, cafes and restaurants lie five minutes walk away downhill (longer on the way up) and the twin village of Lynmouth, at sea level, offers more opportunities for browsing. Don't miss the unique Victorian Cliff Railway which joins the two. The unspoilt beauty of Exmoor National Park is on the doorstep and there are many local beauty spots to explore nearby. The circular walk to the Valley of Rocks is quite breath taking. Milkway Cottage is comfortably furnished in a modern style whilst retaining some of the original character of the property. An open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen is fresh, light and spacious with windows and a stable door which all look out on the magnificent vistas. In the evening the real fire and beamed ceilings create a warm and cosy atmosphere. The modern kitchen area has a slate floor, skylight and cheerful tiles as well as a lovely range cooker. Upstairs there are two bedrooms a spacious double offering the wonderful views and a compact double at the rear.  A bathroom on the first floor completes the internal accommodation. The terraced front garden offers remarkable birds-eye views and is a great place for a barbecue.

Accommodation: Steps through front garden up to Ground floor: Lounge/diner with Rayburn, open fire, TV, DVD, radio, open plan staircase to first floor. Kitchen area with electric range cooker, extractor, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with King and feature fireplace. Bedroom 2 with compact Double. Bathroom with bath and electric shower over, WC and  basin.
