Converted to a very high standard whilst ensuring space and character, this family-friendly property on Exmoor and the North Devon Coast is stylishly presented throughout. With a dining space that opens up on the patio and a warming wood burner in the lounge, you might find yourself not leaving this property at all!

An imposing glazed entrance opens up into a spacious double-height hallway with a curved ash wood staircase and an apex-beamed ceiling. An attractive lounge has ample comfortable seating surrounding a large inglenook with a wood burner which is ideal for the cooler seasons. The large kitchen/diner is very well equipped and has an additional utility room off to the side – ideal for extra storage. This is a wonderful place to enjoy special meals with family and friends or chat about plans for the day over breakfast. With flexible sleeping and facilities including a wheelchair lift from the kitchen to the double bedroom,  and a ground-floor wet room, this is a great house for families to get together or couples wishing to enjoy time with friends. The first floor is divided into two areas, each with two attractive bedrooms and a bathroom (ideal for two families wishing to holiday together). One bedroom has wheelchair lift access to the kitchen/diner. The twin rooms have zip-and-link beds that can be converted to king-size and super-king-size beds on request. Both the lounge and kitchen/diner have glazed doors leading out onto a patio and a fully enclosed garden area with ample furniture to enjoy al fresco dining on sunny days and balmy evenings.

This property is in the perfect spot to explore Exmoor and its dramatic coastline or step out onto Lynton high street, to browse many shops, cafes and ride on the Cliff Top Railway. With its deeply cut valleys, spectacular cliff-top walks, heather moors and many famous beauty spots, walkers and their dogs will be spoilt for choice when it comes to easy or challenging walks along the beach, riverside or moorland. There are even opportunities for horse riding, fishing or a safari over Exmoor. For those who wish to go further afield, the sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe Bay (22 miles), the picturesque harbour town of Ilfracombe (19 miles) or the market town of Barnstaple (18.5 miles) are all within easy reach. You can go kayaking in Combe Martin (13 miles) and visit the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

This property is exceeded our expectations, location was perfect, spotlessly clean, very pet friendly. The owners were very helpful and provided great recommendations for a local Sunday Roast! An ideal property for large or 2 families to share. We plan to visit The Stables again for sure as we all had a fantastic time!

Situated within Lynton town, opposite the cliff railway and close to shops, restaurants. Parking within the gated establishment for 2 cars, additional car parked in car park with parking permit. Good living arrangements, ample seating and very comfortable beds. Well equipped. Outdoor seating areas in the small garden. Very quiet location and a Read moregood base for touring the north Devon area. Hide

we this property hired for our hiking holiday as it was close to the SW Coastal path and it was beyond our expectations. The Stables is a lovely property right in the centre of Lynton, where we have been regular visitors for decades testimony to the location! The photos didnt do the living room and kitchen justice, they were large, bright and airy spaces for relaxing and sharing time with others. We really liked the upstairs arrangement too, where two families couldRead more have private bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside space was small but adequate for our needs. It was well equipped, a lot of the cupboards were utilised as storage. There wasnt a key safe or a safe in the property which sleeps 8, and there is only one key, this made it difficult to be independent without compromising the security of our belongings and corporate equipment, so a key safe would be a wish-list item for us. Only a small thing, but the hedge was overgrown making it tricky to comfortably put the gate on and off the hook, but a quick trim would fix that! It was difficult to want for anything in this property, I would put it in the top 5 properties we have visited in this area and I would have no hesitation recommending it. Hide
