Taking full advantage of this wonderful location, this well-presented apartment will be appealing to both families and groups of friends. In Putsborough, you’ll have a golden sand beach right on your doorstep, as well as the renowned beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde close by. When you’re done exploring, head back to the apartment and swim in the heated indoor pool.

Take a few steps down to level one and enter the spacious open-plan living room which has comfortable sofas positioned to capture the panoramic views, as well as a TV for when the sun goes down. The well-equipped galley-style kitchen is to the rear and it’s here that you’ll find everything you need to whip up celebratory meals. Patio doors provide access out onto the private paved terrace, the largest in this complex of properties. To the front, off the living room, you will find the super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom – enjoy the coastal views from inside or open the patio doors to the terrace. This bedroom has access to a sauna (for a small charge). Two further bedrooms are located to the rear, a zip-and-link twin (which can be a super-king-size upon request) and a small single (accessed only through the other bedrooms). There’s a selection of toys and books which no doubt any children in the group will adore. This apartment truly has an all-year-round appeal.

A lane at the side of the building leads to Putsborough Beach which is sheltered by cliffs and is ideal for swimming and surfing. During the main season, a beach shop and cafe provide refreshments. With Woolacombe Beach and Croyde Bay 4 miles and 1.5 miles away respectively, you’ll be truly spoiled for choice when it comes to sandy shores. If heading to town is more your thing, just 10 miles away is the market town of Barnstaple, where there is a plethora of shops, a leisure centre and a number of lovely eateries. Slightly closer is Braunton (4 miles), where you can visit the Museum of British Surfing or access Braunton Burrows, a large network of sand dunes, perfect for afternoon walks.

A really lovely, comfortable and well equipped apartment with great views right on the beach. The indoor swimming pool was a great addition, we really enjoyed using it.

The view as we drove into Clifton court was absolutely amazing, we will never forget that. The boys loved the pool and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The bed and sheets were better than our own at home!

The location of this property is stunning with fantastic views. Can't fault the quality of the apartment and the swimming pool. Be aware the access roads are very narrow with passing places, wasn't a problem for us though as we are used to Devon lanes.

The property was chosen as on the website it states: Accessibility on one level, no stairs. Disappointed that the access to the apartment was down 36 steps (not ideal for disabled or people with mobility issues. Whilst not registered disabled my wife does have knee issues). Plus the apartment is not on one level, there are 3 steps up to the kitchenRead more area and two of the three bedrooms from the spacious lounge/dinning area. The last one and a bit miles by car are via narrow and bendy single track road with passing places and in high season, probably a nightmare in heavy traffic. Access to the beach was down and up a steep narrow lane used by motor vehicles to the beach car park. There is little or no mobile signal, certainly on the two different networks we had. If the description were sales particulars by an estate agent, they would probably fall foul of the Property Mis-description Act. The location of the property does offer outstanding views from the moment you enter the lounge, dining, patio areas and the master bedroom. The price for out of season was good value for money. The property was cleaned to a good standard and a housekeeper was available if necessary. On the positives side, the accommodation was spacious, well equipped, lots of entertainment in the way of books, playing cards, jigsaws and good TV selection with BT TV, Apple Box and iPod station and WiFi connection. Having said all this we would certainly use and recommend Original Cottages again. Hide

It is really comfortable and clean but Its a shame the jacuzzi is still not working from the previous year and that the day before we went we were told the sauna was broken. Both of these we were looking forward to as it was winter. We swam in the on-site swimming pool every day which was warm on the first day but got increasingly colder each day aRead mores it wasnt heated! It was difficult to sit outside as the neighbours 3 dogs were running loose on the terrace Hide

Absolutely fantastic apartment. Without doubt it is the best place we have ever stayed and the views from the apartment were just breathtaking. We have already recommended it to friends and family and we for one will definitely be back.

Fabulous views and high standard accommodation. Bonus feature of having a private sauna and able to have the shared indoor pool to ourselves at times, which is a great feature of Clifton Court. Highly recommend.
