KNELLE LODGE APARTMENTS – SAUNTON.

As you take the turning to Saunton Beach the breath taking view of golden sands and surf cannot fail to impress – and this view is yours for the entirety of your holiday at Knelle Lodge Apartments!

Overlooking the impressive three mile expanse of dunes at Braunton Burrows, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and with views across the ocean towards Hartland Point, the apartments are superbly located to take advantage of the beach facilities just a couple of minutes’ walk away!

Apartment 3.

This attractive and spacious apartment is situated on the 2nd (top) floor. An original Edwardian staircase shared with Apartment 2 leads from the main entrance to the first floor where private, secure access and further stairs lead up to Apartment 3 on the top floor.  The light and airy landing leads you into a good size, comfortable living room.  Your gaze is immediately drawn to the windows with fantastic views over the whole of Saunton beach, the golf course and beyond to Hartland Point. Doors lead out onto a delightful balcony furnished with bistro table and chairs where you can enjoy the spectacular views (parents please note children will need to be supervised). Windows either side of the balcony doors add more light and great views even from the comfort of the sofa! A feature fire place and quirky half- moon window above the balcony doors add character, whilst a TV, comfy seating and pretty standard lamp create a cosy and inviting room in which to relax. To the right of the stairs is the good size, well equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs.  Wooden work surfaces and white units create a light atmosphere and there are pleasant sea views towards Croyde.  A wide range of appliances are provided to enhance your stay including fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher, washer/dryer and Lavazza coffee machine for added luxury.  Off the hallway is the bathroom which includes doubled ended bath with shower over, glass shower screen, WC, basin and heated towel rail.  A screened window looks out to pastureland at the rear of the property. The very large bedroom has a super-king bed with zip ‘n’ link facility to provide twin beds on request. There is a built-in wardrobe and free standing chest of drawers.  Views over the sand dunes, golf course and towards Hartland Point can be enjoyed.  Lots of windows throughout the apartment create a light and airy feel as wells as taking full advantage of the fine views from its top floor position.  Central heating is provided throughout and an intercom system is connected to the main entrance.

This apartment has all you need whether providing a base for exciting days out exploring or somewhere to simply sit and relax.  At the rear of the property there is secure storage for wet suits and surfboards with a handy external cold shower and to the front is a small communal grassed area. A couple of minute’s downhill walk brings you straight to the beach.  With 3.5 miles of golden sands there is plenty of space to call your own.  Whether you are a toe dipper or fully fledged surfer, the fabulous waves are great fun! Light refreshments and snacks are available from the seasonal Saunton Break Café whilst the Beachside Grill provides meals up until 9pm (check website for winter opening times).  Local hotel facilities are also nearby. Beach Huts and deckchairs can be hired on a daily basis (in season) and for those wanting to take the plunge wet suits, surfboards and even surf lessons are available.  Set within an UNESCO Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Saunton is also ideal for those wishing to explore Braunton Burrows, enjoy a beach walk to Crow Point or even play a round on the famous championship golf course nearby.

Short breaks available November-March only, however book 4 nights for the same price as 3 during this period.
