Head to the coast of Devon for a traditional family seaside holiday in a homely bungalow with sea views. Finish your day by dining alfresco in the garden beneath the parasol after a long day discovering Paignton’s abundance of attractions, shops and eateries and swimming in the sea at the expansive sandy beach.

Step inside the hillside property and find yourself in the bright lounge/diner where you can admire views of the bay through the patio doors as you sit on the comfortable sofa or armchairs in front of the TV and electric fire. There is also a dining table and chairs for enjoying special mealtimes together. Continue into the kitchen with a fitted U-shaped unit and plenty of surface space for preparing home-cooked dinners. There is also a wonderful family bathroom and two bedrooms – a family room with a double and single bed, plus a double room. Outside are two compact gardens – a small area to the front and a paved patio with furniture to the rear. There is a useful porch leading off the kitchen, perfect for shoes and coats.

During your stay in a residential area of Paignton, you’ll be away from the busyness of the centre with an expansive nature reserve on your doorstep – Primley Woods (less than 0.5 miles). If you head into the centre of this harbour town there are plenty of restaurants serving fresh seafood, cafes and family attractions. After a morning at the beach (1 mile) spend the afternoon playing mini golf, at the museum or enjoying the classic arcade games at the pier (all approximately 1 mile away). If Paignton Beach (1 mile) is busy, find a quieter spot at Broadsands Beach (2.5 miles) or Man Sands (8.5 miles).

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 family room with 1 double and 1 single bed, 1 double
