With extensive views over the estuary and across to East Portlemouth, 3 bedroom Courtenay Cottage is a great family holiday home. Right in the centre of the popular coastal town of Salcombe. Recently modernised yet maintaining many of the original features of the cottage.
Accommodation is over 4 floors and careful consideration has been given to the layout – the first floor living room has doors leading onto a balcony… a lovely spot with views over the water, perfect for relaxing with a coffee or a pre dinner aperitif as the sun sets.
Courtenay Cottage has all of the town’s amenities on the doorstep. Salcombe is a popular sailing town in the South Hams, sitting on a ria estuary and the sheltered waters are awash with activity especially during the Yacht Club and Town Regattas in July and August.
This lovely holiday cottage is perfect for a relaxing holiday, just chill on the balcony or wander around streets. Salcombe is well known for its stylish shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Salcombe is a lovely family destination too, a regular passenger ferry operates between Salcombe and East Portlemouth and up and down the estuary to South Sands with its lovely Blue Flag sandy beach. North Sands is about a 20 minute walk from the town and the place for dog walking. A popular pastime is crabbing… just grab a bucket and line from the ironmongery on Island Street and the kids will be happy hanging off the harbour walls (you'll soon be hooked too!)

Second Floor (warning steep steps) Living Room: Doors to Balcony with bistro table and stools. T.V, DVD Player, WiFi
Lower Level (warning steep steps). Bedroom 3 Two single bed's (3') chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside tables. Storage cupboard Tumble dryer, small freezer.
Bathroom: WC, bath, wall mounted shower, towel rail
Outside: Balcony with a bistro table and chairs/stools. Views over Salcombe harbour and East Portlemouth.
Parking: It is possible to pull up outside the property to unload only and parking is available in the town's Long Stay Car Park for a cost of £40 per week, permits can be purchased from the local Tourist Information Board until October 2018.
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Short breaks available in low and mid season, minimum 3 nights. Shop: 0.4 miles. Pub: 0.1 ml. No smoking. Sorry, no pets. Mobile phone coverage can be weak in some areas. Power and Heat: Electric night storage heaters and electric towel rails in bathrooms. All electric is included in the price.
A lovely cottage right in the middle of Salcombe with fantasti view from the top floor lounge.
We loved our stay. It was priced perfectly and we would stay again. Great house and location.
