Mill Cottage has been lovingly restored throughout to offer very stylish holiday accommodation for four people. Externally the property has a beautiful new thatched roof and a pretty furnished courtyard garden, perfect for relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine. Step inside and the style continues… the open plan sitting/dining room is delightful, warm and welcoming with a couple of sofas and a table and chairs. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook up your favourite meals. Upstairs the two boutique style bedrooms are fabulous with exposed roof trusses. This really is an individual holiday home - if you’re looking for the quintessential picture postcard cottage, this is it!
Take a stroll around Cockington village and you feel as though you’re stepping back in time… sitting in a quiet wooded valley, this village is home to pretty thatched cottages and a ‘Lutyens’ thatched pub - perfect for a cream tea! Many of the historic buildings we mentioned in the Doomsday Book. There are numerous trails to follow through the 420 acre parkland with organic and rose gardens and on down to the seafront.
Nearby Torquay was a favourite hot spot of the Victorian era with grand regency crescents lined with townhouses. Today, Torquay has a vibrant waterfront with its marina and harbour… stroll along the palm-lined promenade and visit the seafront gardens.
The model village at Babbacombe is a great day out for all the family and Paignton Zoo is well regarded for its wildlife conservation efforts with an impressive collection including a Komodo Dragon! Further afield, head inland and explore the Dartmoor National Park with its tors and myriad of walking trails. So whether you’re looking for a relaxing break or a family holiday with children to entertain, there’s something for everyone!

We had a fantastic time at mill cottage, and could not fault in any way, we had our free cream tea which was brilliant, the owner Paul rang us the week before so he could sort out free parking for our second car, The cottage, and owners seemed more than just a holiday let
Owners welcome and throughout excellent. Excellent complimentary cream teà
Lovely property in an idilic location.
This was a particularly delightful property. It was just beautiful and the owner went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The generous gift of the cream tea for 4 at the tea shop next door was especially nice. Great location. We walked into Torquay one day and took the 5 pound ferry to Brixham. About a 24 minute ride and then walked back the 8 miles.
My original booking was cancelled by The Owner but he offered a further discount for me to chooses a different date which worked out best for both of us. Excellent property
Proprietors very welcoming. Free cream tea was a nice touch. Would recommend to friends. Comfortable base for our holiday in picturesque village. Blue River Cottages were efficient and very easy to use to book our holiday. We even added an extra day. Cottage was excellent and exactly as described. Would recommend Blue River Cottages
Beautiful holiday home in a stunning location. A fantastic family holiday which was spent during my daughter's wedding day in beautiful Cockington. Great service from discovery from start to finish. Thankyou

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mill Cottage! It was a good base for exploring the coast as well as Dartmoor National Park. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well equipped.
