Reviews

A most enjoyable stay. Clean and comfortable and a lovely location. Dartmouth is delightful and our favourite place in South Devon. We look forward to coming back to West Hartley, had great fun exploring the area. A peaceful and restful location – had some amazing skies at night too.

Mr P A,

We have had a wonderful time staying in your cottage. Excellent attention to detail providing everything a family needs. There is not many cottages available to stay in that are as nice as yours that also allows dogs to stay too. The dogs loved the garden with ample space to run. With so much going on in Dartmouth and surrounding area we were spoilt for choice on things to do. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant and can’t wait to come back.

Previous Customer,

We had a fantastic week here, thank you. The facilities have been great for a family with a 1 year old, 4 year old and a dog. The kitchen has been spot on with everything we need and the outdoor space has been a blessing. The location has also been great. We spent a day at Mill Bay – a definite recommend, and a 20 minute drive between either Dartmouth or Kingsbridge has meant that we have been spoilt for choice of things to do and places to eat.

Previous Customer,

A lovely cottage, very comfortable with a great garden. Very peaceful location. We had a very relaxing holiday. Would highly recommend.

Mrs Rachel A,

A perfect cottage in a lovely location. Lovely garden which Diesel enjoyed. Great beaches at Goddrington Sands, Hope Cove & Bigbury-on-sea. Dartmouth & Salcombe were our favourite towns. Boat trip to Greenway also well worth doing. Thank you for a great week.

Previous Customer,

What a beautiful place. Perfectly appointed. Sparkling clean, lovely welcome hamper and friendly and attentive hosts. A great base for exploring the surrounding area. Recommend Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands, Salcombe, NT properties at Greenway (Agatha Christies) Coombe Fishacre for a beautiful garden. When parking at Blackpool Sands tell that man that you are just going to the cafe for a coffee and he may let you off the £6 a day fee. Agree with all previous comments about eateries and for great fish & chips try the Start Bay Inn at Slapton Sands, plus some history on Exercise Tiger. Takeaway Chinese find Tsangs in Dartmouth is probably the best we've ever had anywhere in the UK. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we will be back !

Previous Customer,

Lovely Cottage. Spotlessly clean, great beds and slept very well. Beautifully restored excellent pub. I also have a holiday cottage so I know that it can be difficult to keep clean in such good condition. Quiet and peaceful lovely location

Annette F,

Thank you for a wonderful stay here at West Hartley ! We stayed two weeks here with our 9 month old son and we loved it. Lots of space to play in the big living room and garden. Everything was clean and very homey. Nice neighbours too. Blackpool Sands is definitely worth a trip as well as Exeter and of course Dartmouth.

Mr J R,

Over the moon with the cottage we stayed in. Everything was very high quality and cleaned to a high standard. Lovely location and made us feel at home for our stay.

Ms Charlotte P,

We liked the rural location, with good access by road and close to Dartmouth. The accommodation was very comfortable and we enjoyed our short stay.

Past Customer,

Lovely in every respect. We would very happily live there.

Mr Alan H,

Amazing cottage in pristine condition. Brilliant location for traveling around to various locations. Property in pristine condition cannot be faulted and proved to be an excellent stay for the week. Most enjoyable.
