Barnstaple Pannier Market

Barnstaple Pannier Market

Barnstaple is the real hub of North Devon and this endearing market has been running for over 150 years. There is a mix of market days at this North Devon venue with local produce, craft days and an antique and collectors market. 

Location: Butchers Row, Barnstaple, EX31 1SY – the Barnstaple Pannier Market is being refurbished; therefore the weekly market will be taking place at Green Lanes Shopping Centre for part of 2023 

Dates: Every Tuesday to Saturday from 9.00am-4.00pm 


Bideford Pannier Market 

Bideford Pannier Market

A charming pannier market within a few hundred metres of the beautiful Bideford Quay. Enjoy shopping at the Bideford Pannier Market, followed by a waterfront stroll. There’s a fine selection of local produce and artisan studios to visit in the market hall, too. 

Location: Market Pl, Bideford, EX39 2DR 

Dates: Tuesday and Saturday each week (9.00am-4.00pm), with other specialist market days and events taking place throughout the year


Bratton Fleming Village Hall

Bratton Fleming Village Hall

A friendly farmers' market which sells produce from a radius of 30 miles. There’s a café and a wealth of tasty foods and other trade products to investigate including local meats, cheese, wine and ales. 

Location: Station Road, Bratton Fleming, EX31 4TZ

Dates: Fourth Saturday of the month all year (9.30am-12.30pm) with exceptions during December and January


Combe Martin Shammick Farmers' Market 

Combe Martin Shammick Farmers' Market

A popular and delightful North Devon market set up around 15 years ago which sells locally produced, grown and made products. It has a wonderful atmosphere and there’s the chance to sit and have a cuppa while here. 

Location: Village Hall, High St, Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, EX34 0HR 

Dates: Third Saturday of the month, 9.30am–12pm


Hartland Farmers' Market

Hartland Farmers' Market

Around 25 producers attend the Hartland Farmers' Market each month, offering up a choice of local produce and delightful crafts for you to peruse. There’s also a lovely café where you can treat yourself to a homecooked breakfast. 

Location: Hartland Parish Hall, The Square, Hartland, Bideford, EX39 6BL

Dates: The market is held on the first Sunday of every month all year (10am-1pm), except January 


Holsworthy Outdoor Market 

Holsworthy Outdoor Market

Check the weather and time your visit right to this excellent open-air North Devon market. At Holsworthy Outdoor Market, you’ll find a lovely range of local produce including fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and poultry, and artisan baked goods, plus gifts and much more. 

Location: The Square, Holsworthy, EX22 6DN

Dates: Every Wednesday, 9am-2.30pm 


Ilfracombe Farmers' Market

Ilfracombe Farmers' Market

Enjoy a variety of local and organic produce including jams and chutneys, cakes and bread, artisan cheeses, sausages, pies and fresh vegetables at the Ilfracombe Farmers' Market. Browse crafts such as cards and soaps, and there is often live music to listen to as you shop in this beautiful venue. 

Location: Lantern Community Centre, High St, Ilfracombe, EX34 9NH

Dates: First Saturday of each month, 10am-12.30pm 


Lynton Farmers' Market

Lynton Farmers' Market

See a fantastic variety of local produce and culinary delights, ranging from sheep's cheese to fresh fruit and vegetables at the Lynton Farmers' Market. There’s a café so you can enjoy a cuppa while listening to live music that’s often put on for shoppers. 

Location: Lynton Town Hall, Lee Rd, Lynton, EX35 6BS

Dates: First Saturday of each month except January, 10am-12.30pm


South Molton Pannier Market

South Molton Pannier Market

Set in an elegant old building in the heart of the town, this good-sized pannier market has over 70 stalls to browse and an on-site café. Pick up local produce, flowers, plants, fish, meat, cheese, fine goods and general goods. 

Location: South Molton Pannier Market, Broad Street, EX36 3AB

Dates: Thursdays and Saturdays, 8.30am-1pm, with various additional events throughout the year


Great Torrington Pannier Market 

Great Torrington Pannier Market

A small, local market with a mix of antique stalls, crafts and local produce. The Great Torrington Pannier Market is another lovely building with historic features, built in 1842, and boasts a number of small permanent stores, as well as a cafe. 

Location: 14 South St, Great Torrington, EX38 8HE

Dates: Every Friday and Saturday 9am-3pm
