This light, spacious and attractive cottage was renovated in 2017 and offers fantastic views of the Taw and Torridge Estuary. Set over three floors, it makes a lovely holiday home for a family looking to enjoy the breathtaking northern coast of Devon. Perfectly positioned in the pretty fishing village of Appledore, with a choice of excellent restaurants and pubs nearby, the cottage is just a couple of miles from the sandy dunes of Instow and the quaint Victorian seaside resort of Westward Ho!

Enjoying a fantastic position with far-reaching views, this stylish and welcoming cottage is an ideal base for a family or group of up to seven guests, with four cosy bedrooms and a lovely decked balcony which looks out over the river, allowing you to watch the fishing boats and pleasure boats pass by. Here you can enjoy a tranquil evening, relax with a BBQ in the enclosed rear garden, or unwind in the bright and comfortable lounge. The cottage also features an additional snug/lounge and an attractive kitchen/diner which opens out onto the balcony.

Appledore is a delightful village in a fantastic coastal location which is ideal for exploring North Devon. The village features a charming quayside, a variety of shops and galleries and the North Devon Maritime Museum, and there are plenty of leisure facilities nearby including swimming, tennis, golf and riding. The long sandy beaches of Westward Ho! and Instow are just a couple of miles away, and the cottage is situated close to the beautiful South West Coast Path. Popular local attractions include The BIG Sheep, The Milky Way and Dartington Crystal (all within 12 miles).

Fantastic cottage with great views out over the estuary from the patio, the lounge and both double bedrooms. The dynamic nature of the rivers and the sea meant that the view was constantly changing. Appledore is a hidden gem with plenty of opportunity to take in the surroundings and enjoy good food/drink. Slight negative - the en-suite was a touch Read moresmall, but this didnt detract at all. The cottage was very clean and tidy and I would recommend to others. Safe secure back garden if you have little ones and also a handy outside tap so you can clean off sand/mud on your return from beach/walks. For dog owners there was also dog bowls and even treats in the welcome hamper which was a very nice touch!

Home was very clean and well maintained Was equipped with everything you would have in your own home and more TV in each room plus Xbox and PlayStation went down a treat.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was very clean and well equiped. There was a lovely pub within easy reach, the Beaver Inn, which did very good food. The Maritime Museum was interesting, small, but well worth a visit. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The house is in a great location in easy walking distance of all Appledores cafes, pubs and restaurants. The patio overlooking the estuary is lovely, great to enjoy a glass of wine, watching the tides. The house has been renovated nicely downstairs and lovely to spend holiday time with family. Only a couple of things I would recommend: A label on the fridge switch as we switched it off without realising overnight. Maybe a couple of pull down shelves either side of the twin beds. A hook on the back of bathroom door and take a look at the shower screen as at the moment water runs onto the floor and bath panel. Really nice property on a super location very near to the old village and two pups. House is fully equipped for families. We were with the two of us in november and had a great time.

Clean and comfortable house with a great view. Space to park one car, but the street can get very busy with parked cars, access can be tight. Linen and towels good quality along with the beds. Easy walking distance to Appledore with its pubs and restaurants Royal George and The Yard was great food with the Beaver inn for a pint and live music. One Read morenegative 7 people would struggle to sit around the breakfast bar to eat but other that that overall very good, thanks. Hide
