On the edge of the Torridge Estuary in a traditional fishing village, this cottage is a vibrant and welcoming home amongst the quaint terraced streets of Appledore. With the splendour of North Devon and its various local attractions that include sandy beaches, family amusement parks and water sports, guests will be able to explore Devon from the comfort of this elegantly styled home. There is room for the whole family in this property with inspiration for adventure from top to bottom.

The lavender stable door takes you through to the reception hallway, and guests will be immediately welcomed by the warm and cosy lounge with large indigo sofas and an exposed brick fireplace with wood burner stove. The kitchen/dining area links onto an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, so whether you’re cooking up an al fresco lunch or a comforting evening meal for the family, this is a space for the family to come together. On the first floor, guests will find a snug double bedroom and a spacious twin room as well as a bathroom with shower over bath and WC (the other bathroom with shower and WC is located on the ground floor). On the second floor is the king-size bedroom with exposed brick character features.

Just 500 ft from your doorstep is Appledore Sails – a fantastic day of sailing allowing you to explore the estuary and the coast. If you want to stay on dry land, then head to Westward Ho! beach, 2 miles away, and watch the surfers ride the waves as the sun reflects off the blue water and then stick around to enjoy the gorgeous sunset.

Love Appledore and enjoyed our weekend at Sea Lavender cottage. It was just right for 4 adults and 2 small dogs with a cosy lounge, kitchen/dining room, shower and toilet on the ground floor. This is a lovely cottage, and was very well equipped. We stayed over Christmas and were very impressed by the decorations, and also by the provisions for our dog. The cottage is well located in Appledore, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing and cosy week away.

A really lovely comfortable cottage in the centre of Appledore . On the doorstep of great cafes, pubs and restaurants and a stones throw from the quay. The cottage is well presented with all amenities and comforts provided. Dog friendly and highly recommended.

The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, kitchen is well equipped, everything was working. Small outside space which is accurately stated in the description. Central to all of Appledores amenities, but quiet at night although the seagulls get up early. Plenty to do in the local area, our favourite pubs were the sea gate and the champ both withiRead moren a stones throw from the cottage. Sea Lavender Cottage is extremely comfortable and homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. The cottage is in a great location and had everything we needed. Appreciated the kind touch to make our dog feel welcome.

A lovely cosy stay in a fab location. The stairs are very steep towards the top so the stairgate was essential but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We had a lovely stay in Sea Lavender Cottage. It was extremely well equipped and location was good. Even though it didnt have its own parking it was never a problem for us to find a space on the quay. Luckily stair gates were provided as the stairs are very steep and we took a one year old and a two year old!

Great property, ideally situated, but advance warning that the washing machine was out of use would've been preferable as we'd packed light.

Had a lovely weekend at the cottage,very clean and well equipped,had lovely clean white bedding and new fluffy towels.Location was great very central. Found a Parking spot at side of road which could be a problem during busy summer months. Back yard was very small but it was nice to have outdoor seating as the weather was very warm. This was the first time we have stayed away from Irsha Street. We were not disappointed, being only 4 doors away from Sylvesters chip shop was a bonus. Loverly properly, perfect described within the advert. 2 wash rooms was perfect, the first floor lay out is magical, the portholes in the staircase up to the top for is a nice touch.
