Set between the verdant walking routes and delectable scenery that Cornwall and Devon have to offer, this impressive property invites larger groups to holiday together in exceptionally comfortable surroundings. Although privacy is assured in this serene holiday destination, you do have the option to enjoy shared children’s play areas with some of the other properties on site or book any one of the other four holiday homes here when holidaying with multiple groups or families. This barn conversion has been laid out with eight guests in mind, complete with an upside-down layout to make the very most out of the open-plan living space on the house’s first floor.

As mentioned, you’re instantly greeted by four bedrooms of varying sizes on the property’s ground floor, two of which offer en-suites whilst the others are served by a family bathroom. Having claimed a room and dumped your stuff, move on up to the first-floor lounge/kitchen/diner where the holiday can really begin. Set beneath a high ceiling with attractive beams, this light-filled room invites energetic mealtime discussions and lazy nights of TV lounging, where memories can be made for any family. In the summer, move these activities outdoors and make use of your designated garden space, entirely enclosed, and furnished for al fresco fun.

Snaking its way along the Cornwall-Devon border, this property is just a short distance from the River Tamar (0.5 miles), a great place to start for walking routes. This river leads down into the Tamar Valley (13 miles) and onto the Dartmoor National Park (10 miles), inviting endless walks and nature trails amongst its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty splendour. In the opposite direction, the beautiful beaches of the Hartland Heritage Coast are just a drive away (28 miles), including the secluded Peppercombe Beach (29 miles) which is a haven for wildlife and a nature lover’s paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay at highland barn, the barn was beautiful with plenty of space for the 7 of us. The owners were on hand for any queries we had. We will definitely be back.

The barn is beautifully converted and equipped and furnished to an excellent standard. This amazing property with its beautiful setting in the countryside just ticks all the boxes. Beautifully decorated and the large spacious rooms help with the tranquil feel.
