Set within the depths of the Devonshire countryside, this thoughtfully-designed barn conversion offers a little slice of rural heaven. Surrounded by 10 acres of patchwork fields, you really can switch off and enjoy a rural escape. Located close to the border of Cornwall, you can head out and explore both regions’ stunning coast and countryside to your heart’s content, all before returning to your cosy base.

Through the gate and over the gravel, set against an emerald backdrop this delightful little cottage, graced with flowers comes into sight - there’s an undeniable sense of peace and tranquillity in the air. Step inside and the relaxation continues; a sympathetic nod to its countryside setting is apparent with a warm and welcoming colour palette, traditional furnishings and stone fireplace. A farmhouse-style dining table sits in the centre of the well-equipped kitchen - a lovely sociable space from which to cook and dine. The cottage is enhanced by the fact you can soak up the countryside views through the window from every room. The enclosed garden outside is great for enjoying the last of the day’s sun with a spot of al fresco dining and nothing but the sound of birds tweeting.

Set within the heart of rural Devon, head out in any direction and you’ll discover a new muddy track to tread, a stream to paddle in and a woodland to picnic in. 9.5 miles away you’ll find the beautiful beach at Hartland Quay; try your hand at surfing, walk the South West Coast Path or simply enjoy fish &chips and ice cream on the rocks. Head a little further and you’ll find Boscastle, well worth a visit for its traditional cream teas, witches museum, and panoramic coastal views.
