Get away for a peaceful break at this pretty cottage in High Bickington exploring the stunning area on country and coastal walks. It’s suitable for friends or family, plus their four-legged family member, with a double bedroom and a twin, a cosy wood burner and a large, enclosed garden with a fire pit for outdoor fun.

The cottage has heaps of character and relaxed style, with cosy soft furnishings and thoughtful touches that make it a comfy home from home. Lounge in the living room watching your favourite TV show, play a game or read a good book with the wood burner roaring and your furry friend dozing next to it. Cook tasty meals in the kitchen/diner, with stylish, contemporary units, and create memorable mealtimes in the smart dining area for four. Then head upstairs to bed in the two charming bedrooms: a Master double room, with an elegant bed and feature fireplace, and a gorgeous twin with an exposed brickwork wall, and have a relaxing soak or a quick shower in the family bathroom. Bask in the sunshine with drinks and dinners on the patio or a cuppa in the courtyard, light the fire pit after dark, enjoy the peace and do some stargazing. Visit the pretty village of Appledore (15.5 miles) and catch the ferry to Instow and take the kids for an exciting adventure at The Milky Way Adventure Park near Clovelly (25 miles).

A stunning cottage in an idyllic Devon village. Beautifully designed and presented. Great parking. The garden was marvellous with so much space for the dog. There were so beautiful walks on the doorstep that took you to huge fields that were mostly enclosed. Wonderful to let your dog run. A small community shop with larger supermarket approx 15 minRead mores driver. Lots of costal places to visit so a great base to explore. The cottage is in a very tranquil area and we could not recommend highly enough. Hide
