One of three in a row of pretty cottages, this stylish property is all on one storey with stylish interiors, a king bedroom and a twin or king room, ideally suited for friends or family, and your four-legged fried is welcome too. It’s in a quiet spot perfect for Barnstaple and exploring the North Devon coast and countryside and has a patio and large shared grounds to explore, including an enclosed field for exercising the pup.

The cottage is light and airy with great attention to detail and contemporary styling throughout. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the heart of the home, with comfy sofas for watching TV and movies, a stylish kitchen with everything you need to rustle up delicious meals, and a dining area where you can enjoy them. Off the living space are the two gorgeous bedrooms, a king, and a twin (or king room). There’s also space for your coats and shoes, and a lovely family bathroom. Enjoy evenings in the enclosed rear courtyard with a cool drink, take the dog for a run in the field, and explore the shared gardens, with a pretty fishpond and a gazebo that’s perfect for evening drinks. You’ll also find a heated outdoor dog shower and sink for cleaning muddy paws and boots.

Get out and explore the surrounding countryside on foot or by bike. Pick up the Traka Trail 3 miles away in Bishops Tawton or head to the coast and the South West Coast Path (11 miles). Visit the canine-friendly estuary beach at Instow (8 miles) or jump on a ferry across the estuary to Appledore in the summer months. The stunning gardens of RHS Rosemoor are within easy reach (14 miles) and Barnstaple is nearby (5 mile) with a great range of shops, pubs, and restaurants to visit.

Greeted by the owners on arrival. Instructions were very clear. Excellent accommodation in a very quiet area, ideal for visiting local attractions. Close to the Tarkington Trail.

Absolutely stunning - location, accommodation and the hosts! It was so lovely knowing we could open the door and not worry about where Lucy was wandering off to! Extremely dog friendly. The accommodation was stunning and felt like our home away from home. A real huge thank you for such a perfect break in a little piece of heaven!
