Property code: OC-BCPOOP

Truly family friendly, this bright two-bed chalet is located on a holiday park. It’s perfectly laid out for a small family or even one or two couples keen to discover this beautiful part of South Devon. Decorated and kitted out to a high standard, it’s got everything you could possibly want to make your holiday as easy and relaxing as possible. Head into Dartmouth (2.5 miles) using the bus from outside the site if you don’t want any driving hassle. Or just get out on foot or by car to explore the beaches, coastline and inland countryside of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Enter straight into the light and airy lounge/diner at this fun chalet, with its contemporary accommodation all on one level. At the back, the dining area has a table seating four in comfort, with modern, Scandi-style furniture and pops of colour making the lounge a really inviting space. Around the corner is the sleek, galley-style kitchen, equipped for prepping everything from picnics to holiday feasts. There’s one double and one twin bedroom, both with calming decor for a great night’s sleep. Outside, sit and watch the world go by from the shared grassy garden.

Once you've explored all that Dartmouth has to offer, head for the coast. The long expanse of golden shingle at Blackpool Sands (3 miles) is good for bracing walks or you can feel adventurous reaching the tiny beach of Compass Cove (3.5 miles) that’s sheltered amid rocky cliffs. The impressive Dartmouth Castle (4 miles) has overlooked and guarded the Dart Estuary for centuries. Or opt for the Tudor Bayard’s Cove Fort (3 miles). Both reinforce the erstwhile strategic importance of this estuary. For sightseeing with a difference, catch the chain ferry (by car or on foot) from Dartmouth to the village of Kingswear.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin
  • 1 shower room with WC
  • Large fridge/freezer, full-size dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave
  • TV/DVD player
  • Shared garden with four garden chairs
  • Private parking for 1 car
  • Shop 0.5 miles, pub 2 miles, beach 3 miles
  • Please note: there is no washing machine
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards

The Poop Deck is an excellent place to stay it is on the outskirts of Dartmouth with a brilliant park and ride service just 3/4 of a mile up the road. Norton Park is beautifully quiet and peaceful with fabulous views and outstanding sunsets. The chalet itself is wonderfully appointed, modern fresh and clean. Supplies of coffee tea milk sugar and yuRead moremmy biscuits are very welcome on arrival after a long journey like ours. The beds are comfortable and quiet conducive to a good nights sleep. There is a very good Wi-Fi connection, the ability to watch streaming services on the tv as well as a small supply of DVDs and a couple of games if the weather turns poor or for the quiet nights in. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dishwasher was a joy giving us all a welcome break from the washing up. I think one of the very best things in this property is the folder we found on arrival on the coffee table, it is an absolute gold mine of information not just about the property itself but about local attractions and the best ways to access them, local travel links and even which restaurants are good in Dartmouth. I would totally recommend this property for a peaceful getaway from it all holiday, we enjoyed it immensely. Hide

Property in excellent position for Dartmouth. Bus stop outside the site. Property was very well furnished and equipped. Couldn't fault it. Very homely. A lot of thought had been put into the furnishings.

We spent our summer holiday in this beautiful chalet and enjoyed the high quality equipment, the cleanliness and the great hospitality of our landlords. We are a family of four with two children (3 & 6 years) from Berlin, Germany.

We had a lovely stay, the chalet was lovely it was spotless and had everything you need. The only downside was as we arrived we thought that the site looked quite scruffy, thank goodness the chalet was lovely. The entrance could be smartened up with the big blocks of stone could be freshened up with a new coat of paint.

Number 2 The Poop Deck is to date, the best chalet we have stayed in at Norton Park. Lovely sunny position, close to the car park which is great when unpacking and packing luggage. Full size dishwasher and fridge freezer which was great. Extremely clean chalet. Big shower. Modern fresh decor. Cant fault The Poop Deck.
