Some places just have the ‘wow’ factor… Bring your family, other half or group of friends to holiday like never before in this comfortable three-bedroom house in Braunton. With stylish accommodation over three storeys, there’s plenty of room for all, including one well-trained dog who is happy to stay in the kitchen/diner. It’s smart but welcoming, modern yet classic and – most importantly – practical as a family-friendly place for your hard-earned break. Use it as a perfect base to get to know the village, stride out walking, or discover some of Devon’s dreamy beaches.

This house ticks loads of boxes including having a home office. There’s also a super slick kitchen/diner with contemporary units and a useful island leading through to a rustic table for eight, and then on to French doors out to the garden. Open them up if the weather’s good for a breezy inside-outside feel. The spacious lounge is gorgeous with a sumptuous corner sofa and a wood burner to snuggle up by in cooler months. On the first floor, find the super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a single bedroom and a family bathroom. But the real showstopper is up the cottage-style stairs on the second floor where another super-king-size bedroom awaits, complete with apex ceilings, exposed structural beams and a huge en-suite rain shower. To the rear, the enclosed lawned garden has a storage shed and handy back access.

The eateries, shops, pubs and cafes are within 200 metres of this contemporary gem. The Tarka Trail offers 30 miles of cycling (or walking) trails along a former railway from Braunton. For seaside shenanigans, the golden swathes of Saunton Sands are just 3 miles, while the 2-mile sands of surfing hot spot Croyde Beach are 5.5 miles.

We had an amazing week visiting family. Having this accommodation was the icing on the cake. A fantastic location so close to everything, much bigger than expected with everything you could possibly need for your family and a parking space right outside the door. Can't wait to book again next year!
