An imposing three-storey house in an enviable position overlooking Ilfracombe’s vibrant harbour. Featuring spacious living areas, a snug room and a rear decked area with harbour views, this dog-friendly gem is perfect for small families or groups ready to relax in style surrounded by attractive shorelines dotted with coves and beaches

The house has been finished to a high standard, with coordinated contemporary furnishings throughout. Each fresh and inviting room has its own name, inspired by the landmarks that can be seen from the house. All front-facing windows, and all bedrooms, have panoramic views across the harbour and towards the Bristol Channel. Entering via a hallway with parquet flooring, seek out the living room, your new inner sanctum, whose corpulent sofas bathe in natural light. There is plenty of space in the dining room for hearty three-course dinners, all prepared in the comprehensive open-plan kitchen that links to a handy utility room. The first floor has an en-suite super-king-size bedroom which can be converted to a twin on request, along with a snug that has all youngsters could want for some “me time”. The third floor is home to two astonishing en-suite super-king-size bedrooms that can be converted to twins on request, along with a utility area and a handsome family bathroom.

The large sun terrace at the front of the house is an ideal space to watch the sunset over the harbour, which you can admire from a different perspective on the rear decked area.

Illfracombe’s harbour (within 500 metres) has a fantastic array of shops, galleries and dog-friendly pubs. Take in the stunning coastline via the South West Coast Path to Coombe Martin or Lee (within 5.5 miles) passing attractive coves along the way. Water sports lovers will be in the element at Woolacombe (6 miles).

This is a great house with fabulous views over the harbour. The rooms are well equipped and there was ample hot water for showers.

The location was amazing and faultless, unfortunately the cleanliness was below par, cobwebs in the toilet, sand in the drawers and the living room area was not clean - it needed a good hoover, also in one of the bedrooms there was a crisp packet and chocolate wrapper left behind the bedside drawer unit, bathroom unit drawers had multiple hairs andRead more build up of dust which had to be cleaned before we could use it - much more care and attention needs to be taken by the cleaner. There were no facilities to leave recycling and rubbish during our stay, apart from the white bags at the end of the road on the Wednesday, hence a lot of build up of rubbish outside at the end of the stay including previous holiday makers that had been left. Also on the website it says there would be a hot tub for use from July 2022, but our stay in September still revealed no hot tub and the decking area not even complete. Hide
