Property code: OC-SEAHA

Enjoy all the comforts of home at this detached bungalow. A peaceful bolthole for family or friends, it’s just half a mile from the sand and surf of beautiful Croyde Beach, and has an enclosed garden plus private parking. Located at the end of a quiet lane with little passing traffic, this family-friendly bungalow offers a warm welcome for a party of four, close to the centre of lively Croyde.

After a busy day on the beach, the modern galley-style kitchen, adjacent to the lounge, has all you’ll need to cook up a feast' eat in a relaxed fashion at the breakfast bar or step into the separate dining room for a more formal feast. Light and airy, the lounge is where you can unwind with a movie or plan your next day’s adventures. When it’s time to retire, choose from two cosy bedrooms – one with a double bed and patio doors onto the garden, the other with full-size twins, and both served by the spacious family bathroom. This detached property sits within an enclosed garden where there is a lawn and patio area with outdoor furniture plus pretty, seasonal planting – a perfect setting for sundowners and stargazing!

Croyde Beach is a year-round favourite among the surfing crowd. Just to the south of it, Saunton Sands is better suited to beginners and is backed by the impressive Braunton Burrows, one of the largest sand dune systems in the British Isles and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Just 9 miles north, Ilfracombe is home to the iconic Landmark Theatre, Tunnels Beaches and, overlooking the harbour, Damien Hirst’s statue of Verity' take a boat trip from here to Lundy Island and you might see dolphins and puffins. For time away from the beach, visit Barnstaple (10 miles), the largest town in North Devon with a historic Pannier Market and a host of independent stores.

Fantastic location, walking distance to the beach and ice cream parlour! The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We had a small issue with the hot water when we first arrived and the housekeeper responded immediately to help us. We would definitely stay here again if staying in Croyde.
